Innovation services, in the right order.

Training, workshops, sprints, an innovation system, and advisory. You can step in wherever it fits: every engagement starts with a free Strategy Call. And the best first step is a Blocker Session, because the right format depends on what actually blocks innovation in your company.

The Innovation Blocker Session

Most companies I speak to know something is wrong. They just cannot name it. That is the normal state, not a failure. It is also why so much innovation budget goes to the wrong fix: you cannot solve a problem you are not aware of.

Format
90 minutes, remote
Before
A short questionnaire, about 20 minutes to fill in
During
We walk through what your answers show
After
One page: what blocks innovation at your company, in order, and what addresses each item
Price
€950 excl. VAT

The session does not fix anything. It tells you what to fix and in what order. That is the part most companies skip.

How is this different from the free Strategy Call? The call is thirty minutes to find out whether I can help: you describe your situation, I listen, no preparation and no deliverable. The Blocker Session is a diagnosis: a questionnaire up front, ninety minutes of analysis, and a one-pager that ranks what blocks innovation at your company. You leave the call with a direction. You leave the session with a diagnosis.

The fee is not credited against a later engagement. You are paying for a diagnosis and you get one, whether or not we work together afterwards. If nothing in the five formats below fits what we find, I will say so.

What can follow

Five ways to work together.

They run from learning the method to running an innovation system without me. Most companies start low and grow up. Nobody has to start at the bottom, and nobody should start at the top before the diagnosis says so.

Learn
Step 1 of 5

Training

Learn the methodology on a fictional case, in-company or in a public masterclass. The fictional case is the point: you learn the method without your own case getting in the way. Applying it to your own business comes next, in a workshop.

From €750 per person per day

Step 2 of 5

Workshop

One team, one facilitator, your own cases on the table. You leave with a result and the action items to run it. For example: a strategy, a business model, a value proposition, or an assumption roadmap that says what to test first.

€4.500 per day

Step 3 of 5

Sprint

Two to twelve weeks of testing your riskiest assumptions. I co-design the experiments, your team runs them, and every phase closes with a verdict you can defend to a board: persevere, pivot, or stop.

Quoted per sprint, after we scope it

Step 4 of 5

System

An innovation operating system with five components: thesis, portfolio, framework, accounting, and the practice that keeps it running. Installed over twelve months while your team learns to run it on real cases, which is why it sticks.

Quoted per system, after we scope it

Step 5 of 5

Advisory

One day of my thinking per month: two sparring sessions, a decision log, and a portfolio review each quarter. Only available after we have worked together, and I take a maximum of four advisory clients at a time.

From €4.500 per month
How it usually goes

From masterclass to advisory.

“After just two days with him, we had a completely new business model on paper. We're sitting down with over 100 municipalities. Our B2C channel is thriving.”

Bas started with a two day masterclass in 2023, continued into an innovation project on a new service, and moved to advisory in 2025. That is how it actually runs: not a package bought up front, but a next step that made sense each time.

Pricing

Fixed where it can be, scoped where it cannot.

Training, workshops and advisory have fixed prices, because the form is fixed. Sprints and systems are scoped first and priced after, because their shape follows your situation. You always know the full investment before we start, and there is no additional work model: if the work turns out bigger than we agreed, that is my problem to have anticipated, not your invoice to absorb.

I quote a fixed price rather than an open ended day rate for a practical reason: you need to know the total before you commit, and I need to be free to do what the work actually requires instead of counting hours against it. A fixed price also keeps the incentives clean: neither of us gains from the work taking longer. All prices are excl. VAT.

Honest limits

When I am the wrong choice.

You want everyone involved.

Workshops and sprints are built for a result with one team. If the goal is that a larger group hears the story and gets involved, book a keynote or an in-company training instead: I do both for larger groups. The system, in turn, covers the whole organization.

You want someone to do the work.

I co-design and I coach, and your team executes. That is what makes the capability stick after I leave. If you need capacity rather than capability, extra hands instead of a better way of working, you need a different kind of supplier.

You want one framework rolled out.

I am framework agnostic on purpose. A training in a specific method, say the Business Model Canvas, is a normal request. But if the method must be rolled out regardless of what actually blocks you, you do not need a diagnosis, and the diagnosis is what I am for.

You want a dependency.

Every engagement is designed to end with your team running it without me. Most companies want exactly that: capability you own, not rent. But if you are looking for a permanent outside owner of innovation, that is not on offer.

Not sure which one you need?

That is the normal starting point, not a problem. It is exactly what the Blocker Session is for: ninety minutes that name what blocks innovation at your company, and which format addresses it. Rather talk first? Request a free Strategy Call. I read every request myself and reply with whether I think I can help.
